Who Are Those
Pesky People?
And Why Do They
Seem So Fortunate?
You Really Mean,
Why Are They So Blessed?
Below is
an excerpt from a literary work in progress.
While I am sure
many will disagree, many will not. My message is only for those who
understand, we are in dire straights, or needn't I say dire crookeds.
START:
Then
came 9-11-2001.
Guilt and grief gave me and so many of my American Breathen,
no peace, no refuge, no sympathy, just more grief.
Now I am at the point of desiring again to be silent and yet faced with the
same
historical problems as before, namely, desiring to live a normal life and
let the
things of Caesar be unto Caesar and the things of God, be unto God.
Let me acknowledge the following:
This thought process, never worked in the past years, (or had limited
results); so
I
see little reason to think it should work now.
Allow me just a little more of your precious time, to finish discussing my
failure
in these writings.
I am given to remember how this Country was envisioned, chartered and
created.
I remember as a child in school in North Carolina, on a daily basis, prior
to any
class, we had to:
1. Pray the 23rd Psalm and/or The Lord’s Prayer.
2. Say the Pledge of Allegiance to this Country and this Country’s Flag.
WHO
and WHAT is An AMERICAN of
These Once
GREAT
UNITED STATES?
An
American is defined by me as, one who has accepted willingly and with
honor
two undeniable facts, however flawed they be.
1.
First allegiance to Country, U. S. A.
2.
Next,
an unwavering and never ending allegiance to
God and therefore to Country.
3.
Above these two allegiances, there exists no other.
