A Different Point of View
Sent to Bill O Reilly.
Bill, I suspect that assisting you in standing and
walking in the other fellow’s shoes will be at best, a very difficult task.
Briefly, the comments you made regarding Black People
while at Sylvia's were disparaging. Ok, I can see your point, you probably
feel that you were actually telling White Americans how Civil and just
regular people, Blacks seemed to be. Yes?
Well the problem is this. Making such a statement
presumes that the divide between Blacks and Whites is far greater than any
suspects. As well, your statements on the surface, indicate that you live
in a world that is absent of integration. And this you believe to be true
for your White listeners.
Rather than being one who communes with us, you have
given yourself as one who holds us suspect and beneath your White America.
We are surprised that, such views could be prevalent in
a person of your stature.
Don’t get it yet? Ok I will try and make it easier.
Consider that the vast majority of serial killers and pedophiles are White
males.
How would you have felt, should the Black press and
even owners of Sylvia’s said the following:
“Black America, today a White Male visited Sylvia’s and
to our surprise, he neither killed anyone nor did he use any kitchen
utensils in a menacing or threatening manner. He didn’t even attack
anyone. We didn’t even see any menacing actions towards the children in the
restaurant. Maybe, just maybe White males have a chance at being
non-violent, non-threatening and civilized. The Bill O Reilly types are
welcomed in our community anytime. Just make sure you just count the
silverware!”
Bill what you said truly did not rise to the stature of
an intelligent and educated Man, regardless of color. Your comments are
somewhat indicative of something from the mouths and hearts of racial
ignorance’s, from centuries long since past.
Consider that White America long before your comments
knows that the Black community is not a product of Snoop Dog or any well
known personality, but the other way around. We the members of both race,
work together on a daily basis, we live next door to each other, we enjoy
social activities together, and we get along fairly well.
They are products of the Black Community
For now Bill, I find my high school educated, White
neighbors to be blessed with Doctorates as compared to what your education
has given you to present to us.
Bill, it is never too late.
If you have the courage to attempt to update your
rather savage appearing education, interact with us more, we’d love to have
you. As we are the most forgiving and loving people on Earth. Bar none.
